IDI Composites International is headquartered in Noblesville, Indiana; in addition to its Indiana headquarters and manufacturing center, the group operates five wholly-owned manufacturing facilities in Puerto Rico, Mexico, France, the United Kingdom, and China. IDI’s sister organization, Norplex-Micarta, is the market-leading manufacturer of high performance thermoset composite materials based on impregnation and lamination technology. Norplex-Micarta has two manufacturing facilities in Iowa and China. It has just opened a third facility in Montana which will house Norplex Advanced Composites, a new venture aimed at expanding the company’s commitment to prepregs and advanced composite materials. Combined, the group has over 700 employees globally.
